Smokehead Unfiltered is the original Smokehead with the gloves off: an intensely peated Islay single malt from an undisclosed Islay distillery, bottled by Ian Macleod Distillers. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at a higher 46% ABV, which gives it more body and a raw, uncut character. No age statement. 46% vol, 70cl.

Tasting notes 👃
Billowing black smoke leads. Oily walnuts, dark chocolate and black pepper come through the peat, with an earthy, slightly sweet depth underneath. It’s bold and mouth-coating, with plenty of the south-Islay character that has made Smokehead a cult favourite. Best enjoyed neat, or with a drop of water to open it up.
