Thornæs' Balkan Peat Double Cask is a smoky, layered expression from Thornæs' Crossroads series. Matured first in small Bulgarian oak casks, then finished in 200L bourbon barrels, it’s a refined “big brother” to their award-winning 3rd Release. Only 487 bottles made – crafted for those who appreciate peated nuance and cask-driven complexity.

This lightly peated Danish Single Malt opens with tropical fruit, honey, and a touch of smoke on the nose. The palate brings vanilla, peach, floral honey, and sweet spices. A lingering finish reveals floral depth and a slow-burning, ember-like smoke that evolves as it fades.
