Faer Isles Distillery is rooted in passion, craftsmanship, and the raw spirit of the North Atlantic. Founded by Bjarni Lamhauge, Dánial Hoydal and Bogi Mouritsen, the distillery creates spirits with true provenance, shaped by the small, remote and windswept Faroe Islands.

Inspired by local botanicals, Nordic culinary traditions and the island climate, Faer Isles crafts a lightly peated whisky with a distinctive oceanic character. The recipe was developed together with Gordon Steele, Keeper of the Quaich and professor at Heriot-Watt University, to reflect the unique environment of the Faroes.

Maturation is the distillery’s greatest innovation. Drawing on the traditional Faroese hjallur, casks are exposed to salty winds, high humidity and the stable cool temperatures of the North Atlantic. In partnership with ASC Barrels, each cask is optimised to enhance this climate-driven ageing process.

The result is a whisky unlike any other. Shaped by nature, informed by Scottish tradition, and already praised for its promising early flavour development. Faer Isles Distillery stands as a new voice in world whisky, bringing the taste of the Faroe Islands to a global audience.
