Delft Blue Gin (41.5% Alc)
A small-batch Classic Dutch Dry gin, handcrafted in Delft by a master distiller using traditional steep-and-boil methods combined with vapour extraction for the more delicate botanicals. Ten botanicals in total — juniper berry, coriander, angelica root, cardamom, orange peel, lemongrass, blood orange peel, blood orange flesh, rosehip and mandarin orange — with the local botanical selection inspired by the TU Delft Hortus Botanicus. The blood orange, used as both peel and flesh, is the signature differentiator: it delivers the exceptional fresh citrus character that defines the gin's identity. The brand commemorates Willem van Oranje, Father of the Nation, who was assassinated at the Prinsenhof in Delft in 1584.
Tasting notes: Bold juniper and pine on the nose, balanced with coriander and clean citrus. The palate opens with citrus and juniper, developing into pepper, green angelica and a subtle rootiness. The finish lingers on citrus, juniper and pine, with the quiet complexity of the supporting botanicals coming through. Serve in a classic G&T or a Dry Martini.
