Birch is one of the only native trees in Iceland and among its most abundant — a natural fit for a spirit built entirely from local ingredients. First released in 2019, this reserve spends 3 years maturing in American oak before a 3-month finish in Icelandic birch casks, giving it a character found nowhere else.

Tasting notes 👃
The porous birch wood works its way through the whisky, bringing apple blossom, heather and moss alongside a sweetness of honey, licorice and mint. It settles into a warm aftertaste of cinnamon, nutmeg and dried fruit — delicate, layered, and distinctly Icelandic.

A single-barrel whisky, aged 3 years in ex-Flóki Young Malt casks at the foot of Mount Hekla — handcrafted using ingredients and techniques rooted entirely in Icelandic tradition.
