Vermouth made by a bartender, built for the bar.
Mancino Vermouth is the creation of Giancarlo Mancino — one of the world's most respected bartenders, originally from Pignola in Italy's Basilicata region. Frustrated by the lack of depth and character in modern vermouths, Giancarlo partnered with a family-run distillery in Asti, Piedmont (established 1957) to develop a range of artisanal vermouths made the way they would have tasted in the early 1900s: around 40 hand-selected botanicals infused into quality Italian wines, with Trebbiano di Romagna as the base for the core range and Barbera d'Asti for the richer Chinato expression. The result is vermouth designed to hold its own neat over ice and to perform as a full partner in cocktails — never fading into the background of a drink.
The range spans nine expressions — from the cocktail workhorses (Secco, Rosso Amaranto, Bianco Ambrato) to the barrel-aged Vecchio, the coffee-infused Kopi, the limited-edition Sakura with Kyoto cherry blossoms, the quinine-rich Chinato, the coastal-inspired Marino, and the Clay Pot serving vessel. Mancino is the official vermouth partner of the World's 50 Best Bars since 2018, and the brand is distributed primarily internationally — a house built by a bartender, recognised by bartenders, and designed to earn its place on the back bar.
